Multnomah County dismisses 12-count indictment charging rape and sodomy

Ron Hoevet and Megan McVicar’s client was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, Reckless Endangerment (x2), Stalking and 7 counts of Rape, Sodomy, Sex Abuse and Assault.  After more than a year of pretrial litigation including consequential motions to suppress and controvert, a motion to override the counselor-client and psychotherapist-patient privileges and a motion to admit past sexual behavior, the District Attorney determined that it could not prove its case.  The case was dismissed in its entirety on December 20, 2018.
